Is it me or has the quality of children’s books diminished over the years. After reading books with my children, I like to look at the inside publications notes to find out when and where the book was published. If you look at the Curious George book written in the 1930′s you will see that you need to dedicate some time to reading it aloud. It is an older prose, without rhyme and needs time to develop plot, conflict and resolution. Today, its all fluff because, I at least I think, we have little to no time to read to our children.
